Come explore the year round fishery of the Texas Coast. Predominantly based out of Middle Texas Coast, your day will be spent poling the shallow water ecosystem in search of Redfish. This unique fishery allows the angler the opportunity to work together with their guide to sight fish with fly in hand. The most novice and experienced angler can be satisfied with this exhilarating style of fishing. This area is arguably one of the most noted and pristine fisheries! With a vast amount of shallow clear water flats, miles of marshland, and isolated shorelines, the area is perfect habitat for skinny water sportfish.

If you haven’t been on Canyon Lake, you are in for a treat! 

The water is crystal clear and the scenery is beautiful. There will be some sight casting opportunities, as well as blind casting to drop offs and structure probing heavy Largemouth, or agile Smallmouth Bass. Additionally, Canyon Lake holds a solid population of our hard fighting Texas State Fish, the Guadalupe Bass. 

Expect to target a large array of species including; Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, and Stripers!

what’s included

• All gear is provided – if you do not wish to bring your own equipment, not to worry; we have top end equipment designed to withstand long battles and endure the harsh saltwater environment.

• All flies, as they are designed specifically for areas we will be fishing.

• A cooler full of ice, water, non-alcoholic beverages, and a boat lunch per guest.

what to bring

• The weather in South Texas can be harsh and change daily if not hourly; but, proper clothing will protect you. Most lightweight, UPF clothing works well as it dries quickly, prevents sunburn and keeps you cooler.  During the cooler months, light wind breaking jackets are great. As always, it’s nice to have a breathable rain jacket handy for any passing rain showers.

• Polarized sunglasses; rose, amber, brown or yellow lenses preferably.

• Lightweight hat; a dark underside on the brim works best to keep the sun’s glare out of your eyes.

• Any medications you may need while on board.

• A great attitude – we are out there to have fun catching monster fish and creating lasting relationships!

deposit

To reserve your date(s), a $100 deposit per day is required at the time of booking to secure your trip. All deposits must be received within 7 days of the reservation; cash, checks, and money orders are accepted.

cancellation

All deposits are credited towards a trip within one year from the original date requested.  Cancellations less than 15 days forfeit your deposit unless the days can be re-booked at a full rate.

These policies keep the business end clear and allow us to continue to be friends both on and off the water.  Our biggest goal is to develop long lasting friendships with unbelievable memories.

weather

All inclement weather decisions will be called based upon the guide’s judgment. If the trip is cancelled due to weather, your deposit will be credited towards a trip within one year from the original date requested. Once you leave the dock, a trip has started. Poor weather during the course of the day may happen but as long as it is safe we will continue to have a good time! Remember, light winds up to 10-15 mph are normal here on the Texas Coast.
